The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg is a book that I recommend. I enjoyed listening to the audio version earlier this year. One concept that the book suggests is shifting your energy and routines to building new habits and behaviors opposed to stopping a current, undesirable habits. The book also states that the extent of your belief in the new habit is what will keep you from relapsing. In the event that a relapse happens your belief that you can stick to your new routines is key to avoiding complete abandonment of building your new, preferred behaviors.
